The City of Arkadelphia’s Parks and Recreation Department is celebrating Father’s Day weekend with a Youth Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 14, 2025.
The event will take place at the Youth Sports Complex Pond from 8 a.m. to noon. Participants can compete in a variety of competitions throughout the event.
- Biggest catch- Weight of one (1) fish
- Most weight- Weight of three (3) fish
Prizes will be given to winners of each competition. There will also be a raffle giveaway. What to bring:
- Fishing rod
- Tackle box (hooks, bobbers, extra lines, etc….)
- Bait
- Snacks
- Chairs
Residents are encouraged to reel in their kids, family, and friends for this freshwater event.
