April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and local nonprofit organizations have events planned throughout the month to raise public awareness.

Paint the Town Blue for Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month

Upcoming Events

April 1: Planting pinwheel gardens at 6th and Main streets, Arkadelphia, for the number of kids served by the Child Safety Center in 2024.

April 4: Send in a photo of you, your family, co-workers, or class wearing blue for WE(AR) BLUE DAY! People all over the state will be doing the same.

April 5: Join us for the 10th Annual Duck Derby Festival 2025 at the Lower Lake Recreation Area in Caddo Valley.

April 7: Helpers of Healing Appreciation Dinner

April 9: Hot Spring County Proclamation- Join us at 1pm at the Hot Spring County Courthouse as we proclaim the month of April Child Abuse Awareness Month in this county!

April 10: Nevada County Proclamation- Join us at 1pm at the Nevada County Courthouse as we proclaim the month of April Child Abuse Awareness Month in this county!

April 17: Pike County Proclamation- Join us at 1pm at the Pike County Courthouse as we proclaim the month of April Child Abuse Awareness Month in this county!

April 21: Clark County Proclamation- Join us at 5:30pm at the Clark County Courthouse as we proclaim the month of April Child Abuse Awareness Month in this county!

April 27: Join the faith community of Arkadelphia downtown on Sunday evening for a special time of prayer for the vulnerable children in Clark County served by PDMCSC, The CALL, and CASA.
