NYITCOM hosting ‘Reddie Health Innovators’ summer program at HSU

Henderson State University students are invited to apply for a three-day exploration camp this summer to learn about public health. NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University is hosting the event on the Henderson State University campus in Arkadelphia, and students who are selected will receive a $500 stipend for participating.

“Reddie Health Innovators” will take place from June 25 to 27 on the HSU campus and is open to all current HSU undergraduate students. Applications are available here and are due May 11.

Designed for undergraduates ready to tackle today’s health challenges with innovative solutions, this program combines expert-led workshops, real-world case studies, and collaborative projects. It’s a chance to gain valuable insights into the evolving field of public health, connect with professionals and peers, and equip oneself with the tools needed for real-world impact.

“Public health issues impact everyone, and this is a tremendous opportunity for college students to learn about how they can become engaged and even pursue careers in the field,” said Quinyatta Mumford, DrPH, MPH, CHES, assistant professor at NYITCOM at A-State and program director for Pathfinders in Public Health.

Pathfinders in Public Health is being organized and operated by the Delta Population Health Institute, an organization that serves as NYITCOM at A-State’s community engagement and health outreach arm.
