Dear Residents of Arkadelphia,
I write to you today with gratitude and appreciation for your participation in our recent primary election. Your support and trust in our leadership have once again demonstrated your commitment to the progress and prosperity of our city.
With the renewal of the one-cent sales tax, we ensure the continuation of essential services that benefit each and every one of our residents. This vital revenue source enables us to uphold the high standards of living and safety that make Arkadelphia a great place to call home.
I extend my deepest gratitude to the members of the City Board for their unanimous support in this endeavor. Their dedication to our community’s well-being is truly commendable, and I am honored to work alongside such devoted individuals.
I would also like to acknowledge and thank our city manager, department heads, police officers, firefighters, and all city employees whose hard work and dedication contribute daily to the betterment of Arkadelphia. Your tireless efforts do not go unnoticed, and I am grateful for your commitment to serving our city.
Furthermore, I extend my appreciation to the businesses, organizations, and volunteers who generously dedicated their time and resources to help spread our message. The Arkadelphia Alliance and Area Chamber of Commerce, Citizens Bank, Southern Bancorp, and countless others played a crucial role in ensuring the success of our campaign, and for that, we are truly grateful.
I also want to recognize the invaluable role played by our local media outlets, including The Arkadelphian and the Southern Standard. Your accurate and timely coverage of the election provided voters with the information they needed to make informed decisions, and we are grateful for your dedication to keeping our community informed.
As your mayor, I made a commitment to work to renew this tax and ensure that Arkadelphia remains competitive with other communities in Arkansas. Your voices have been heard loud and clear, and I am deeply humbled by the opportunity to continue serving as your mayor. Together, we have accomplished great things, and I am excited to continue our journey of progress and growth.
