Tinkerfest returns to Mid-America Science Museum April 22

Mid-America Science Museum will host its 7th Annual Tinkerfest on Saturday, April 22, from 10 AM to 4 PM. The science and arts festival will feature more than 25 interactive, one-day only experiment stations for attendees to explore STEA concepts through hands-on activities. Tinkerfest is included with general admission to the museum.

“Tinkerfest has quickly become one of our most popular events,” said Diane LaFollette, Mid-America Science Museum’s CEO. “Experimentation is essential to developing a curiosity about the world around us, and Tinkerfest gives children a safe environment to explore new ideas through hands-on activities, fueling their desire to learn and pushing them to get creative.”

Tinkerfest is a family-friendly, all-ages event that hosts makers and tinkerers from all over Arkansas. In previous years, the event has included activities involving mechanics, robotics, and art, designed to encourage the hands-on processes of inventing, innovating, and exploring ideas by working with everyday materials.

This year’s Tinkerfest is presented by Smile Hot Springs-Erwin & Barnett Dentistry with additional support from Oaklawn, M3 Services, Crist Engineers, VIPA Hospitality, Platinum Drywall, RE/MAX of Hot Springs Village, and The Hatcher Agency.

The museum is located at 500 Mid America Blvd in Hot Springs, AR. General admission is $12 for adults, $10 for children ages 3-12 and seniors aged 65 and older, and $11 for teachers and military. The museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM to 5 PM, and Sundays, 1 to 5 PM. For more information, visit https://midamericamuseum.org/ or call (501) 767-3461.
