
The National Weather Service in Little Rock is predicting the next chance of rain to be on Thursday and Friday, March 16-17. This system will be preceded by high pressure, with freezes likely in northern and central Arkansas Sunday night through Tuesday night. Another area of high pressure will follow next weekend, with more freezes possible.
Subfreezing temperatures are in the forecast across portions of Arkansas on March 14-15. After a brief warmup on the Thursday and Friday, below-freezing readings will return by Saturday.
Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across Arkansas Thursday, Thursday night, and into the morning hours on Friday. A few storms could become strong to severe, with damaging winds and large hail the main hazards.

Rain chances will markedly increase Thursday into Friday. The forecast calls for a half inch to an inch and a half of rain across Arkansas, with locally near two inches in the south. Localized flash flooding is possible.
